If all goes according to plan, this coming spring Heth’s Hardware Hank will be seeing double. We’ll be adding a 6,000 square foot addition which will be more than double the current 5,000 square foot store on 32 S. Walnut St. The addition is well overdue and will be on property purchased from the Russ and Peg Senn in 2005.

Monday, October 1, 2007 the first ground was broken for the addition which will be used to accommodate the increasing La Crescent area. Present were representatives from Merchants Bank, Voss and Sons Construction, and members from the store. The new area will allow the store to be on one level which is a consideration taken for customers and staff. Having everything on one level and in a larger space will allow the Heth’s to stock larger products like bicycles, grills, lawn furniture, fertilizer, and rental items.
